Privacy-First Approach
FetchKomi is built with privacy at its core. We are fully compliant with GDPR and CPPA regulations, use no advertising cookies, and collect only the minimal data necessary to provide our service.
1. Introduction
Welcome to FetchKomi ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our video download service.
By using FetchKomi, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account with FetchKomi through our authentication provider (Kinde), we collect the following personal information:
- First name - To personalize your experience
- Last name - To identify your account
- Email address - For account verification, communication, and password recovery
- Profile picture (optional) - To display in your account interface
This information is securely stored by our authentication provider and is used solely for account management and service delivery purposes.
2.2 Usage Data and Content
To provide our video download service, we collect and store:
- Downloaded content metadata - Information about videos you download (title, platform, file size, timestamp)
- Library content - Files and media you upload to your cloud storage (Pro plan only)
- Download history - Record of your download requests for service optimization
- Storage usage statistics - To monitor your allocated cloud storage space
2.3 Analytics Data
Privacy-Respecting Analytics with Umami
We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics platform that is fully GDPR and CPPA compliant. Umami collects only anonymized, aggregated data and does NOT:
- Use cookies or tracking pixels
- Collect personally identifiable information (PII)
- Track users across websites
- Store IP addresses or user fingerprints
- Share data with third-party advertisers
Umami only collects basic page view statistics (page URL, referrer, browser type, device type, country) in an anonymized format to help us understand how our service is used and improve user experience.
2.4 Payment Information
When you purchase a Pro plan, payment processing is handled by our third-party cryptocurrency payment provider. We do NOT directly collect, process, or store your payment information.
Third-Party Payment Processing
Pro plan purchases are processed through a secure cryptocurrency on-ramp payment provider. When you make a purchase, you will be redirected to the payment provider's platform, which may:
- Require identity verification (KYC - Know Your Customer) in accordance with financial regulations
- Collect payment information (credit card, bank details, or cryptocurrency wallet address)
- Be subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies
- Comply with anti-money laundering (AML) and financial regulations in your jurisdiction
We receive only a transaction confirmation and order ID from the payment provider. All sensitive payment data is handled exclusively by the payment processor and is never transmitted to or stored by FetchKomi.
3. Cookies and Tracking
3.1 No Advertising Cookies
We Do NOT Use Advertising Cookies
FetchKomi does not use any third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or marketing trackers. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data with advertisers or data brokers.
3.2 Essential Cookies Only
We use only essential cookies required for the Service to function properly:
- Authentication cookies - To maintain your login session and keep you authenticated
- Preference cookies - To remember your settings and preferences (theme, language, etc.)
These essential cookies are necessary for basic functionality and cannot be disabled without affecting your ability to use the Service.
3.3 No Cookie Consent Banners
Because we only use essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics (Umami), and do not engage in tracking or advertising, we do not require cookie consent banners or pop-ups. This is fully compliant with GDPR and CPPA regulations, which do not require consent for strictly necessary cookies and privacy-preserving analytics.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:
